We call on all people to remember Hiroshima Day and Nagasaki Day.
It was a tragedy, a mass murder in which hundreds of thousands of men, women and children died, were injured and suffered because of these doomsday bombs, and many others still suffer from their radioactive fallout.
Men created this atomic death machine. And now in 2010 politicians are still imposing fear onto people so as to control and manipulate them, using Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons. There is some awareness now on part of decision-makers and the UN of the need to push for a World Free of Weapons of Mass Destruction, but the fact remains that WMD are proliferating around the world. We don’t hear England, Russia, China, France or others pushing actively towards a world free of WMD. Furthermore, Pakistan, India and Israel, are already nuclear states and many other countries are seeking Nuclear Energy, which is dangerous and is not needed for humanity’s health and future.
So, we call to you to stand with all of us who want to see a world without WMD, a world with safe and friendly natural energies from wind to sun, moving from consuming less to helping more.
It may seem naïve for us to think we can change anything, but from this naiveté change starts.
Wear a black thread, ribbon, around your hand or arm on the 6th of August.
Just wear a black ribbon.
Thanks.
