In Germany eight nuclear reactors are still running, all others habe been permanently shut down after Fukushima. But the forecasted problems
breakdown of energy networks in winter, need to import (nuclear) energy from France - have not come true. Todays papers report quite the
contrary: in spite of the extremely low temparatures (-10 to -28 degrees Celsius across Germany every night in the past week or two), Germany has _exported_ energy to France, because they can’t produce enough power for all the electical heatings used in France (a result of promoting electrical energy heatings to make best profit from nuclear power plants). A lot of the power in Germany has been produced by solar and wind in the past weeks. And energy prices have skyrocketed on the short-term energy market in France but remained staple or even slightly gone done in Germany.
So much about nuclear lies...
